WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A PANEL BEATER?

A Panel Beater must have experience within a bodyshop in a panel repair / fitting environment, have good interpersonal skills, and be well motivated and able to meet guidelines.

A Bodyshop Panel Beater must hold a City Guilds qualification or time served equivalent and ideally be ATA accredited

Panel Beaters must be able to follow the complete repair process - remove and /or repair damaged panels, repair chassis on the alignment jig, repair damage and refit panels or fit new panels

A Panel Beater must be able to use equipment to pull and measure vehicle chassis.

The candidate must be able to produce a high quality of workmanship from start to finish and have the up to date knowledge of recent repair processes.
