We have a new opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance tester to fulfil the current and future needs of our Clients' growing hospitality IT business.

Based in High Wycombe, you will be part of a small, core software development team delivering our rapidly evolving flagship hospitality suite.

Desktop and web applications plus a range of associated services

Responsible for processing millions of guest bookings and transactions totaling hundreds of millions of pounds every year.

Clients range from single till restaurants to leading multi-national groups and our solutions are deployed on range of hosted and on-site platforms.

We are looking for someone who can bring up to date technical experience to help expand and formalise our Clients' QA processes to ensure hospitality suite and install base growth as well as reputation for quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read, review and, where appropriate, advise on Functional Specifications.
  • Prepare and execute Functional and Regression Test Scripts.
  • Read, review and, where appropriate, assist with preparing Product Documentation (at development, support and end user level) and Training Aids.
  • Act as a liaison between Support and Development functions and to raise and prioritise Defect Reports, when necessary.
  • Provide assistance to third-parties integrating to new and existing APIs, and carry out the certification of their implementations.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Prior experience in a QA testing role, ideally in a hospitality and / or software environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in the design, use and maintenance of test methodologies to measure the quality of software being tested and identification of bugs or remedial action required.
  • Experience in product stress testing.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience of developing and executing test plans and test cases / scenarios.
  • Experience and ability of investigating software issues and communicating requirements to development teams.
  • An ability and experience of using different testing methodologies including regression, integration, unit, system, sanity and end-to-end.
  • An ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, managing priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:

Ability to use a range of tools to automate testing of new or amended systems.
