Role: Care Service Manager
Location: Barnsley (S75)
Salary: £27,000 to £28,000 per annum (Full time position)
To provide independent living and enable people you support to live in their own home as independently as possible.
Manage the day to day running of the service.
Ensuring a high standard of personalised care.
Provide effective leadership and support to all staff and participate in direct work with the people you support.
To participate in duty rota Including weekends and evenings, to carry sleeping-in and wake night duties when required.
Be responsible for managing or overseeing rotas, and ensure appropriate cover is in place at all times.
Keep relevant parties informed about the well-being of the people we support through monitoring and reporting, noting any changes in health and social circumstances of the people we support, assisting in the assessment of needs, constantly reviewing the services provided
To ensure that the service provided promotes the people you support skills, respect, choice, community presence and participation
To be responsible for; understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements that are relevant, including Health & Safety, COSHH, all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 to ensure that all staff maintain a safe environment throughout the Home
To participate in the formulation of individual care plans for each of the people you support and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both
To ensure that social and emotional needs are met by staff members at all times
To ensure that Effective Inter-agency working is applied to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults in accordance with local and national guidance on Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.
Undertaking general support worker duties throughout the service as needed
To manage and complete rotas for your service/s in a timely manner
To complete spot checks and relevant audits for your services.
To complete supervision’s, appraisals and performance management with the staff in your team.
Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Care Manager
