Role: Care Branch Manager
Location: Romsey (SO51)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum
To provide effective leadership to ensure outstanding levels of care are delivered to all customers that live in and out of the village. To ensure that the quality of care is in keeping with standards set and required by CQC.
Required to register with CQC as the registered manager
To take ownership of achieving a minimum of a good CQC inspection
To plan and progress the strategic priorities at a local branch level.
To be accountable for the development, growth and operational performance of the branch, ensuring that the business grows sustainably in line with commercial targets and KPI’s
To develop and agree a sales and marketing plan that is in keeping with the care branch strategic growth plan and is realistic in achieving business levels and budget performance expectations.
To develop and manage relationships with customers and their families to increase care business.
To promote and enable specialist care packages, for example dementia support to encourage business performance and reputation for excellence and specialists in care including palliative care.
To network with third parties to build relationships that are key to the promotion and marketing of Audley brand and the care branch services.
To build and foster positive relationships with our internal owners, whether current care customers or not through direct contact or through team.
To provide excellent customer service to all existing and new customers.
To ensure all activities are fully compliant and conforms with the requirements of CQC and safeguarding policies and procedures.
The required standards are reflected in the policies and the responsibility is extended to include the communication, availability, understanding and all adhered to.
Provide leadership, coaching and support to the branch team.
To ensure that staffing levels are sufficiently managed for current and growth of the care branch.
To fulfil all line management responsibilities including recruitment, scheduling, learning and development, appraising, coaching, supervisions, payroll, invoicing and any other related responsibility.
To be responsible for the on-call rota ensuring that the budgeting is covered outside of office hours, including holding the phone as part of the on-call rota when required.
Ensure that all administrative systems are monitored and kept up to date (care and non-care related).
To attend regional meetings and workshops as required.
To capture and reflect the organisation culture and employee values throughout by demonstrating behaviours and actions.
To support the organisation with ad-hoc projects or tasks as required.
Full clean driving licence with business travel insurance
Skills and Experience:
Experience of the care sector preferably with operational management responsibility including the management of a team.
This includes all line management responsibilities with particular reference to manpower planning, rota management, providing learning opportunities and completing relevant administration to support people management activities.
Evidence of working in a commercial environment which includes budget management, marketing and business development, driving compliance and measuring quality.
Preferable care giving experience and a recognised care and/or related professional qualification.
At least three years’ experience in a relative role that includes all or some of the responsibilities.
Strong communication skills with high influence
Strong planning skills
Strong customer service focus, with the ability to create excellent working relationships at all levels, internally and externally
